These are transcripts of acts and resolutions passed by the General Assembly; signed by representatives of the Senate and House of Representatives; and approved, dated, and signed into law by Governor J. Proctor Knott. These typically concern the structure of the education system; the navigation of Kentucky's waterways; the construction and maintenance of roads; the incorporation of towns, businesses, and organizations; the formation of election districts; the determination of county boundaries; and appropriations for state funding. Also included are two resolutions appropriating relief funds for victims of a flood in 1884; and the "Common School Law" intended to set up a consistent and progressive statewide school system.
